It is a campaign that involves everyone from dental professionals, community groups and even schools and in the workplace.

Why Should I get involved in National Smile Month ?
You or someone you know maybe be affected by poor oral health, from fillings to gum disease there is always something we can do to improve our oral health. here are the main three lessons National Smile Week are promoting.
– Brush your teeth twice a day, with a fluoride toothpaste.
– Cut down on sugary food and drinks in between meals.
– Visit your dentist as often as they recommend.
Why is oral health education important ?
Below are some figures that serve as a reminder why it is important to spread education about oral healthcare.
84% of adults have one or more fillings.
34% of child aged 12 have visible dental decay
25% of adults only brush their teeth once a day.
These figures show there is still work to be done in education everyone about the importance of oral health.
